STREET MAINTENANCE

This division, headed by the Street Superintendent, includes a Street Supervisor, two Lead Street Maintenance workers, a total of eleven Heavy Equipment Operators/Street Maintenance workers, and seasonal employees. The crew operates out of the corporation yard on Rufus Allen.

This crew is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the 130 miles of City streets, including pavement repair and construction, drainage facilities, pavement marking and striping, sign installation and maintenance, curb and gutter maintenance, street sweeping and a myriad of other activities connected with keeping the City streets safe for all motorists.
